Foster Denovo has appointed Aytekin Can to the newly created role of head of data strategy and management information delivery.
The firm says it is accelerating the use of artificial intelligence across its wealth management and employee benefits businesses.
Can will oversee the use of data as Foster Denovo expands its AI capabilities and modernises its technology infrastructure. He brings more than 20 years of experience working with advisory firms that have grown through acquisition.
The appointment comes as Foster Denovo develops a centralised “data lake” designed to bring together data from across the business into a single platform. The initiative aims to simplify how advisers and support teams access, analyse and use information by reducing reliance on multiple systems and legacy technology.
The appointment follows Foster Denovo’s partnership with AI specialist Palindrome, which is focused on increasing automation and streamlining back-office processes through the use of artificial intelligence.
Foster Denovo Group managing director Helen Lovett says: “We’re determined to grasp the opportunity presented by AI and to do so, how we manage data is absolutely critical. Aytekin brings decades of specialised experience in this crucial area to drive us even further forward.”
Can says: “Data in the AI era is revolutionary for advice firms and anticipating where it can take us, how it will unlock time for teams to focus more on clients and how it underpins every possibility cannot be overstated. We aim to take full advantage of what can be achieved.”
