NatWest Cushon has significantly expanded its investment team with three senior appointments, as it looks to support its growth trajectory towards £25bn AUM.
The master trust has appointed Rahil Ram as head of investment strategy, Kinna Patel as head of investment proposition and Martin Logan as responsible investment manager.
Ram joins from Fulcrum Asset Management, where he was head of climate investing and a director in the absolute return investment team, focusing on portfolio management, risk taking and portfolio construction. Prior to that, he was a multi-asset strategist at Legal & General Asset Management.
In this new role at NatWest Cushon he will work with the trustees and the wider team to drive enhancements to the investment strategy, with a focus on maximising outcomes for members.
Logan joins from Coutts — also part of the wider NatWest Group. Prior to this he was pensions investments manager at Nationwide DB scheme, where he helped to develop an ESG strategy and worked on a portfolio of over 60 private investments.
As responsible investment manager for NatWest Cushon, he will support the trustees and the business from a RI perspective and will help NatWest Cushon further develop their private markets strategy.
Patel joins from L&G Asset Management where she was a DC investment director for the previous three years. Prior to that she was an investment consultant with Hymans Robertson. Patel will be focused on external investment engagement with all NatWest Cushon stakeholders.
Veronica Humble, NatWest Cushon CIO, said: “We’re going to be growing rapidly as we scale the business and continue to develop our investment proposition. It’s crucial we continue to hire exceptional people that align with our values and want to embark with us on our journey.”
