Pardoe joins from Legal & General where he was most recently responsible for workplace savings strategy, proposition and market development. Over his career, he has developed and delivered strategies for auto-enrolment, workplace savings, digital communications and member engagement.
He reports to Paul Bucksey, who was recently promoted to lead BlackRock’s UK DC business, which manages bundled workplace DC schemes for over 250,000 members.
Bucksey says: “We have ambitious plans to grow our reach with employee pension schemes, and Simon will play a crucial role in enhancing our UK DC client and member propositions. He brings tremendous experience plus an in-depth knowledge of the UK DC market, and what employers and members are looking for from their workplace retirement plan both now and in the future.”
