Cancer Tsar and Bupa chief to head AMII conference

Macdonald will talk around the main conference theme of ‘Working together for a healthier Britain’, focusing on how funding pressures on the NHS can be alleviated with a greater role for private healthcare, a greater role for employers providing insurance cover for staff, and incentives for healthier lifestyles to reduce long term burdens on the NHS.
Professor Sikora will focus on the cost of cancer treatments and how the NHS alone will not be able to afford these in the longer term.

The AMII conference is being held at Barcelo Hinckley Island Hotel just outside Coventry and is aimed at AMII members and non-members including IFAs and General Insurance intermediaries.

Michael Payne, AMII general secretary says: “Again AMII has managed to attract two very senior speakers from their respective fields and the issues that will be aired at our conference this year will most certainly be extremely topical and of use to the delegates attending.”
