Former Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne is set to join BlackRock, the world’s largest fund manager, according to media reports.
Sky News is reporting that Osborne is set to take a position with the BlackRock Investment Institute, a move that would see him reunited with his former economic adviser Rupert Harrison.
Despite speculation that he will leave Parliament, he is understood to be intending to remain the MP for Tatton, Cheshire, a seat he has held since 2001, but will not lobby the UK Government.
