The newly-appointed partners are Steven Baxter who is appointed partner to the longevity risk team and Stephen Birch, David Boyd, Nick Forrester and Clare Gardner, who are all appointed partners to the firm’s investment practice. Ronnie Bowie, senior partner at Hymans Robertson says: “Risk is obviously intrinsic to investment strategy and in calculating longevity, but the current economic volatility has put risk centre stage: company sponsors and scheme trustees are under even greater pressure to understand and manage risk. “Our investment practice has expanded significantly to deal with the increasing demands on issues such as quantitative modelling, investment strategy and manager selection.”
