Investment boost for rehab therapies

BACP says the move amounts to a genuine policy departure intended to reduce the long waiting lists for patients needing help.

Legal & General says it has experienced positive results from the use of therapies, particularly Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the treatment of stress, as part of the support provided for its group protection customers.

“Legal & General has been managing and delivering a very effective return-to-work programme which incorporates highly specialised rehabilitation services ,” says Vanessa Sallowy, director for benefits management at L&G.
