Jones, Cowdery and Homer make NY honours list

Former Nest CEO Tim Jones and insurance industry consolidator Clive Cowdery have been named in the 2016 New Year’s honours list.

Jones, who stepped down from his role at Nest at the end of last year, receives a CBE ‘for services to the pensions industry and pension provision’.

Cowdery, who is the founder of insurance provider consolidator Resolution, has been given a knighthood for ‘services to children and social mobility’ in light of the establishment of the Resolution Foundation, which was set up to analyse the challenges facing those on low to middle incomes and to develop policy solutions to these problems.

HMRC chief executive Lin Homer was made a dame for public service in relation to public finance.

Nest CEO Helen Dean says: “This is a fantastic testament to all that Tim Jones achieved as CEO of NEST (National Employment Savings Trust). We’d like to offer our hearty congratulations to Tim on being awarded a CBE, it’s very well deserved.”
