HSBC Bank is appointing Simon Wainwright as its new chief executive officer of Insurance for the UK, moving him from a similar role in Ireland. He succeeds Robert Lang who has moved to become HSBC’s managing director of insurance in Hong Kong. The role covers both HSBC Life (UK) and HSBC General Insurance Services, with a combined staff of 350.
