Whitfield joins Hyperion X for global benefits drive

Hyperion X, the newly launched data and technology arm of Hyperion Insurance Group, owner of Howden, has appointed high profile HR tech innovator Michael Whitfield as an adviser.

Whitfield joins Hyperion X with over 35 years of experience, having co-founded Thomsons Online Benefits, the global benefits software firm that was bought by Mercer in 2016. Prior to this he was managing director at Alexander Forbes.

The appointment highlights Hyperion’s ambitions in the employee benefits sector. Howden acquiring Punter Southall Health and Protection Holdings Ltd earlier this year.
