Pi Partnership, the holding company for Pi Pension Trustees and the pension consultancy Pi Consulting, has acquired a portfolio of business from the independent trustee company Temple Trustees, part of UK law firm Burges Salmon.
The Temple Trustees portfolio will continue as a separate trustee operation called Temple Trustees Limited but will be supported by Pi’s resources and governance framework. The Temple Trustees portfolio will be managed by Sarah Jeffrey-Gray.
Pi head of trusteeship Roger Cooper says: “This acquisition complements our existing trustee company, increases our geographical coverage and demonstrates our commitment to the independent trustee market. We are delighted to welcome Sarah Jeffrey-Gray to the Pi family and have no doubt Sarah’s personal reputation and expertise in the world of trusteeship, coupled with her legal background will make her a valuable addition to the team. We look forward to working with Sarah and her clients.”
Richard Knight of Burges Salmon said: “We are delighted to have completed this transaction with Pi. We have decided to exit independent trusteeship so that we can focus on our core legal advisory services. While Tim Illston and Clive Pugh will continue to act as independent trustees for a limited number of existing schemes, we would like to take this opportunity to thank Sarah for nearly 20 years of loyal service and to wish her all the best at her new home with Pi.”
