Elphick worked at Unum for 16 years where she was responsible for leading all marketing communications activity. She will now head MetLife’s employee benefits marketing team at the provider’s Brighton offices, working with Claire Oldstein, head of marketing, Western Europe, and Tom Gaynor, employee benefits director of MetLife UK.

MetLife, which launched its ProActive Protection offering in January, says it is committed to growth in the UK, describing it as a ‘focus country’ for its global employee benefits division.

Oldstein says: “MetLife has an ambitious growth strategy in the UK employee benefits market. Our priorities are continued innovation and enhanced service capability.”

Elphick says: “MetLife is a huge global brand with a depth of experience and insight that is unmatched.  Its desire to innovate in the UK market is a thrilling proposition and I’m delighted to join such a focused team with ambitious plans.”
