This app, called Bria, is designed to help members identify health risks and take preventative steps.

It also offers access to health advice, tailored to an individual’s circumstances and specific goals. This includes losing weight, increasing fitness levels or combatting stress.

This new app will connect with over 1,000 health and activity trackers. It will use “gamification” techniques to encourage users to stick to action plans and meet set goals.

This will allow users to connect to work colleagues, friends and family who can compete in challenges and gain places on a leader board.

The Bria app has been developed in partnership with Tictrac, a UK-based leader in the global health tech marketplace. It is available free of charge to all GGH members.

Generali Global Health chief executive Marco Giacomelli says: “Bria offers a number of invaluable tools for our members that will help them to improve or maintain a healthy lifestyle.”

He says this joins a raft of other services including international employee assistance programmes, a digital doctor app, specialist second medical opinion and a genomic profiling tests for those diagnosed with cancer.

Generali group general manager Frédéric de Courtois adds: “We need to keep pushing innovation to better serve our customers and generate returns for our shareholders. Tictrac will improve Generali customers’ wellbeing, as well as support our corporate clients in engaging better with their employees”.
