This appointment is part of Aon’s ‘returnship programme’ which aims to recruit more experienced people who are returning to the finance industry following a career break.
McMahon was previously vice president of fixed income trading with Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s London office and had also worked in their Sydney office. She has also held posts with RBS in Sydney and started her career with PcW.
After leaving Merrill Lynch, Geri was managing director and a board member of MUJO Intelligent Rehabilitation, a connected healthcare technology company in which she was also a founding investor.
Aon is expanding its responsible investment team. This remains one of the firm’s most active areas, as UK pension schemes have become increasingly interested in exploring responsible investing initiatives.
Aon’s head of responsible investment for the UK Tim Manuel says: “As a business we are keen to attract and retain the most talented people, and we look for innovative ways to do this.
“We have seen a surge in demand and interest in this responsible investment, so I am very pleased to boost the team with McMahon’s recruitment.”
