Jesal Mistry is joining Legal & General Investment Management as business development director.

Mistry joins from Hymans Robertson, where he was head of DC scheme design and provider evaluation. Prior to this Mistry has held senior consulting roles at Capital Employee Benefits, Barclays and Aon.

In his new role Mistry will have responsibility for maintaining and building relationships with advisers and employers, and helping to further grow LGIM’s presence in the DC pensions market.

Mistry says: “LGIM is the largest provider of DC pensions in the UK and is committed to delivering good outcomes for its customers. Employers are increasingly seeking quality pension solutions which can help to provide a cost efficient and meaningful benefit for their employees.”

“I’m really pleased to be joining LGIM and looking forward to working with the DC team to deliver a great experience of saving for retirement for customers as well as supporting employers in their move towards greater efficiency.”
