Global wealth managers the deVere Group is to expand its corporate business across Europe, by offering financial advice as part of an employee benefit programme.
The advisory firm is best known for offering a range of offshore finance options for wealthy and globally mobile individuals, but it now expanding its corporate business.
DeVere says this decision is being driven by “growing demand” from companies looking to enhance their employees’ benefit packages.
Devere divisional manager James Green says: “It’s becoming harder for companies to recruit and retain top talent and by adding value to their programs, they are able to overcome these issues.”
DeVere group says it is already working with a number of well known multi-nationals, including a car manufacturer and tech giant.
The company’s head of corporate solutions, Miriam Palà says that the company’s market research shows the overwhelming majority of major brands on the continent still didn’t yet offer financial advice programmes to employees. But she says many wanted to upgrade and boost these employees’ benefits programs.
“They were keen to do this because they fully understand that when employees are aware and in control of their personal finances, they’re on track to reach their long-term financial goals. In turn, this makes them more focused at work and more productive for and more engaged with their employer.
“DeVere Corporate Solutions allows companies the opportunity to invest in their employees’ financial well-being.”
The company will offer this support in a number of different formays. This will include seminars, which help attendees identify and define their financial objectives, analyse their current situation and make action plans to achieve their goals.
After these sessions, attendees can make more informed financial decisions when it comes to providing for their children’s education, protecting their assets or preparing for their own retirement.
Palà adds: “We also collaborate with companies on a more regular basis, assisting their employees with queries about their personal financial situation and how they can optimise it. These sessions as well as these financial checks are offered completely free of charge, both for the company and for the employee.”
