Mercer has appointed Niall Alexander as its new senior DC investment consultant.
Alexander, who joins from River and Mercantile Solutions, will advise clients on strategic investment issues. In this role he will also be involved in developing intellectual capital, with a focus on ensuring DC members’ needs are being met across the country.
Previously Alexander held the role of head of client business development and head of DC at River and Mercantile, where he advised a range of schemes both in the UK and overseas with an emphasis on helping DC schemes and master trusts understand their specific investment and governance needs.
Alexander began his career with Willis in Dublin where he helped establish their investment consulting business providing advice for a range of DC and DB pension plans.
Mercer’s UK DC leader Phillip Parkinson says Alexander will also play a vital role developing our intellectual capital at a time when ESG and climate change issues are re-shaping the way clients and members view and invest pension assets.
