Cloud8 appoints MD as Rummels changes role

Digital employee benefits platform provider Cloud8 has made Dipa Mistry Kandola managing director, promoting her from client strategy director, effective from 1 September 2021.

Mistry Kandola has been with Cloud8 since September 2020 before her previous 18 years’ experience in the EB industry.

Ian Rummels, founding director and current CEO of Cloud8 will transition to a new founder role, focusing on innovation and big relationships.

Dipa Mistry Kandola says: “This is an exciting time for Cloud8 as we take the business to its next stage – moving from successful start-up to well established scale up. Over the coming months we’ll be growing our senior leadership team, gaining further investment, widening our portfolio of products for advisors and we anticipate announcing a number of important client wins.

“From a personal perspective, I’m thrilled that my dedication to digital employee benefits is being recognised as my career has focused on helping EBCs and pensions advisory firms move with the times and switch to digital, which often comes with its own traditional mindset challenges.

“I am truly honoured to represent a number of under-represented groups at managing director level within our industry. As a young under 40, working mum from the BAME community, who did not have a socioeconomic advantage during my education, I hope I can show that through industry experience and determination, it is possible to reach your goals and work at the highest level of industry.”
