The partnership means JLT Employee Benefits will offer Vielife’s online health and wellbeing solution through its BenPal online benefits management system, BenPal. JLT says companies currently using BenPal who embark on health improvement initiatives should start to see a reduction in absence costs and insurance claims as a result of the initiative.

Vielife’s online health and wellbeing solution offers employees a structured programme to their employees to help facilitate better health choices. Wellbeing programmes can be used to help individuals with a multitude of health-related issues including smoking cessation, nutrition, physical activity and stress.

Analysis gained from the Vielife solution will also be used to determine the health needs of employees and offer the appropriate benefits.

Initially, the integrated platform will be available to BenPal users in the UK and Ireland, and then to all JLT Employee Benefits’ customers globally.

Steve Cottle, head of global partnerships at Vielife says: “Employers are becoming increasingly aware of the impact an employee’s health can have on productivity in the workplace and absenteeism and are starting to take steps to help their employees make better lifestyle choices.

“JLT Employee Benefits’ customers will now be able to closely analyse the health needs of their employees and via BenPal, use our platform to engage with them and encourage behavioural changes.”

Nick Boyton, principal, healthcare and risk, JLT Employee Benefits says: “We are delighted to be partnering with Vielife to offer our customers a solution which will help their employees avoid certain preventable health issues.

“As a provider of an integrated online strategy for employee benefits, adding vielife to our offering gives us an ever stronger, more compelling and cost effective solution to offer our customers.

“As a global organisation with a presence in 35 countries, we needed to partner with an organisation that could engage with all of our customers on a worldwide basis. Deploying an international online solution is integral to many of our customer needs and we believe this approach works effectively and drives employee engagement for both our international and UK based customers. Vielife was the obvious fit for all of these needs.”
