Corporate Adviser Awards: Success can deliver vital boost to business

Advisers have less than a week to enter this year’s Corporate Adviser Awards, with the deadline for the awards being March 8.

These flagship industry awards showcase innovation across the industry and celebrate talent at advisory firms, large and small. The winner will be announced at a gala ceremony in London’s Park Lane on 27 June.

Award winners from previous years have said the recognition from industry peers has provided a real boost to their business, giving them a platform for future growth.

Judges have said that the standard of application in recent years have continued to improve, with a win or commendation in any of the adviser or provider categories now seen as a real hallmark of success.

Aon’s co-head of DC advisory Martin Parish said the awards were a great opportunity, particularly for younger advisers and consultants, giving them the chance to meet with providers and judges, as well as their peers working for different businesses. “It can really give them a sense of what this industry is all about,” he says and the excellent levels of services it continues to deliver.

WPA’s sales and marketing director Mark Southern says the evening is always a lot of fun, particularly after another busy year. The awards are a real badge of achievement, he says, and deserved recognition for all the hard work put in over the previous 12 months

Premier head of risk and healthcare, Allyson Gayle, a previous judge, says the awards reflect what has been going on in the industry over the past few years, showing how the industry has changed and evolved — and how advisors have really delivered for their clients, particularly during an ongoing cost-of-living crisis.

For those still finessing this year’s application forms, Corporate Adviser has compiled a list of tips from talking to previous year’s judges, in order to help your application stand out.

The awards website includes the full list of categories and the criteria which advisers should address in their entries. The closing date for entries is 8 May and these can be submitted through the awards website or by following this link.

Winners will be announced in a glittering gala ceremony at the London Hilton Bankside hotel on Park Lane on 27 June.
