Benefits consultant NFP has acquired health insurance specialist Get Medical Plans for an undisclosed sum.
NFP says this purchase will enable it to bolster its employee benefit capabilities in the rapidly expanding PMI market.
Get Medical Plans founders Marc Benjamin and Sanjeev Mallipeddi will continue to lead and manage the London-based business.
NFP has a global reach, and alongside its benefits consultancy business it runs a property and casualty broker, wealth manager, HR services consultants and retirement plan advisor.
NFP’s managing director of employee benefits for Europe Ian Chadwick says: “Adding the expertise of the Get Medical Plans team and the solutions available through their platform will help NFP better support our clients and grow our presence in the rapidly expanding independent medical insurance market.”
The founders of Get Medical Plans have more than 40 years’ experience in the industry between them. They said that as a result of this deal they will be able to introduce their services to more clients and expand their positive impact on businesses and individuals who need support navigating the health insurance landscape and finding plans that better address the challenges they face.
In a joint statement the founder said: “This partnership will enable Get Medical Plans to continue to deliver a first-class service to our clients by accessing the resources and range of services within a global organisation, while also giving us the ability to reach new customers.”
