Verity Trustees, which runs the trustee board of TPT Retirement Solutions, has become a signatory to the Financial Reporting Council’s UK Stewardship Code.
This Stewardship Code sets high standards for those investing money on behalf of UK pensioners. Stewardship is the responsible allocation, management and oversight of capital to create long-term value for clients and beneficiaries leading to sustainable benefits for the economy, the environment and society.
Fiduciary management services for both the TPT Retirement Solution’s DB and DC schemes are provided by TPT Investment Management (TPTIM).
TPT says that responsible investing continues to take a central role in its investment decisions. The pension provider says it is looking to further enhance its stewardship commitments by improving its responsible investing reporting, investigating the interplay of climate and nature and defining a stewardship approach to nature while also continuing to deliver on the climate action plans and net zero commitments of its clients.
TPTIM responsible investment manager Inês Cunha Pereira says: “We are thrilled for our DB and DC schemes to be accepted as a signatory of the FRC’s Stewardship Code. It reflects the improving strength of TPT’s responsible investment and stewardship action on behalf of our clients. It represents recognition of our efforts to be truly responsible investors, and we look forward to continuing this work.
“We will continue developing our capabilities and stewardship practice to deploy a direct and active role in engaging and collaborating with corporates, market participants and regulators to drive meaningful change.”
