Aon has appointed Craig Campbell as UK head of responsible investment.
Campbell is a senior investment consultant and actuary with 17 years of expertise advising a diverse range of institutional clients. Campbell’s new post will allow him to use the firm’s experience in risk, modelling, asset manager research, and asset allocation to help clients make more responsible investments and develop creative services.
Aon senior partner and UK head of investment Maria Johannessen says: “Craig brings deep expertise and experience in responsible investment, an area that is growing in importance for investors and continues to be a very active area for our clients. Sustainability, weather and climate underpin many of the top risks and opportunities they face, and Craig is perfectly positioned to drive the development of the creative and integrated solutions our clients will need in the future.”
Campbell says: “The opportunity to lead, develop and integrate our responsible investment capability is a great privilege. The transition to a low-carbon economy comes with both risk and great prospects for investors. More and more of our clients are fully integrating responsible investment within their wider investment choices and governance. I’m looking forward to bringing clarity and confidence to our clients’ investment decisions in this increasingly complex area, while using my role to influence the drive to a more sustainable future.”
