Mattioli Woods has appointed Scott Stevens as managing director of business development and marketing.

Stevens, who joins from St. James’s Place, has over 30 years of experience across financial advice, investment management, and distribution leadership.

At St. James’s Place he led on marketing, recruitment and digital growth initiatives. He has also held senior roles at Quilter Financial Planning, Quilter Cheviot and BNY Mellon Investment Management.

Scott will lead the development of Mattioli Woods’ business growth strategy and will integrate marketing, business development and client experience. According to the firm, this will strengthen adviser productivity, deepen client relationships and enhance brand distinction across the Group.

Mattioli Woods chief executive officer Ian Mattioli says: “Scott’s appointment reflects our continued investment in the quality and capability of our leadership team. He brings a proven record of driving growth, innovation, and cultural alignment across large-scale advisory businesses. His combination of commercial acumen, creativity, and hands-on leadership will be instrumental as we continue to build a stronger, more connected proposition for our clients and advisers alike.”

Stevens says: “Mattioli Woods has a rare combination of entrepreneurial spirit, client focus, and long-term ambition. The opportunity to help shape the next stage of its growth – strengthening the brand, empowering advisers, and amplifying what makes the business unique – is incredibly exciting. This is a pivotal moment for our profession, and I’m proud to be joining a team that is genuinely committed to leading from the front.”
