Aegon has launched a new engagement campaign, utilising its digital workplace pensions platform Mylo.
The campaign, titled ‘Postcards from tomorrow’, aims to encourage members to visualise their future retirement lifestyle, and to link that with practical pension planning actions.
This interactive tool has been developed with technology firm Waracle, and allows members to create personalised digital ‘postcards’ depicting where their retirement could take them. Each postcard links back to Mylo’s smart tools, nudges, and guidance, designed to encourage people to review contributions, savings levels and retirement dates.
Aegon says this latest tool is designed to make pension planning “more tangible and engaging”. The campaign was rolled out to workplace members on 30 December 2025, and positioned as a new year “positive visualisation tool”.
Aegon said the initial launch delivered a 43 per cent email open rate, despite this being a traditionally quiet period, due to employee holidays.
Aegon commercial director of workplace Nick Roy says: “Our research shows that visualising future goals can transform how people engage with their finances. Mylo is a trusted guide, and speaks in plain language, reaching users at the moments that matter, like changing jobs or turning 50. With ‘Postcards from tomorrow’, we’re helping people connect emotionally and visualise their future selves, to help take meaningful action today.
“Aegon UK is already a leading workplace pension platform, with over three and a half million customers, now, with the ongoing investment in the business, and the development of Mylo, our commitment to financial wellbeing and digital innovation is helping making pension engagement more accessible for all.”
