The Society of Pension Professionals (SPP) has continued to grow over the past year, welcoming a range of new organisations to its membership.

The new members include pension providers like TPT Retirement Solutions, institutional investors and asset managers, including IFM Investors, trustee firm BESTrustees, fintech companies Festina Finance and Lumera, as well as law firms such as Slaughter & May and Stephenson Harwood.

The SPP now has around 90 members, collectively employing more than 20,000 pension professionals.

It includes actuaries, lawyers, professional trustees, investment and asset managers, administrators, covenant assessors and other pension specialists.

The SPP chief executive Fred Emden says: “The SPP’s continued growth is naturally helpful as we continue to harness the expertise of our membership to make a positive impact on pension scheme members, the pensions industry and its stakeholders.

“The industry faces many challenges and opportunities in the months and years ahead and having a truly collective voice will help us all.”
