Willis Towers Watson has appointed Florian Frank as the head of its work and rewards business in Europe.

Frank was previously responsible for work and rewards in Germany and Austria, jointly with Ariane Kohler, who will now take over the sole management of the German speaking regions.

According to WTW, the restructuring comes at a time when regulatory and economic pressure on the HR sector mounts throughout Europe, driven by the EU Pay Transparency Directive and the growing importance of artificial intelligence for working environments and remuneration models.

In his new role, Frank will be responsible for the strategic direction of the work and reward business in Europe.

Under his lead, the business will focus on increasing the network of European markets to share experiences and solutions more quickly and further develop the integrated approach around technology, data and consulting.

Frank has been with WTW since 2013, and is based in Frankfurt.
