Barnett Waddingham has renewed its partnership with the Pensions Management Institute (PMI), which will see it continue to offer insight and information to members on a range of administration and management issues.

Under the terms of this partnership Barnett Waddingham will run webinars and events for PMI members, as well as supplying broader thought leadership, specialist editorial content and case studies to help PMI members navigate an increasingly complex regulatory and economic landscape.

This partnership is part of the PMI’s commitment to industry collaboration, bringing together leading voices from across the sector to support the professionals responsible for safeguarding the retirement outcomes of millions of UK savers.

The PMI, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, also announced it has completely redesigned its website. The new platform has been designed to help pension professions, trustees and employees access insight on a range of pension topics, while also highlighting information on industry qualifications.

The PMI says that with regulatory expectations rising and the pensions landscape evolving rapidly, from dashboard implementation to the consolidation of schemes, access to timely, authoritative insight has never been more critical.

Barnett Waddingham head of pension administration Paul Latimer says: “This renewal underlines our long-standing commitment to the UK pensions industry. The PMI plays a vital role in supporting the professionals who are responsible for millions of people’s retirement outcomes, and we are proud to continue contributing to that mission, especially as we continue our integration into Howden [which acquired BW last year].”

PMI chief customer officer Varsha Gicas adds:  “High standards of administration are the cornerstone of a well-run pension scheme and so we are delighted to renew our partnership with Barnett Waddingham. Collaborations with sector specialists like this ensure our members have access to the insight and guidance they need to deliver the best outcomes for savers.”

PMI chief executive Gareth Tancred says: “Over the past five decades, we have worked alongside professionals, trustees, employers and partners to raise standards and strengthen the industry.

“The new website gives people a clearer, more intuitive way to stay informed and progress in their careers. We are proud to launch a platform that supports the profession we serve and helps empower change through education. I encourage everyone to visit and see what’s new.”
