Matt Lawrence has rejoined Aon as its new digital broking leader for human capital, following a two-year stint at rival WTW.

In his new role, Lawrence will lead innovation strategy across Aon’s Human Capital broking capabilities, using new technologies and predictive analytics to transform the commercial insurance placement process. He will report to Michael Pedel, head of global benefits for Aon and will work with carriers and clients to identify evolving needs and develop leading-edge solutions.

“Matt brings a powerful combination of broking leadership, health and benefits expertise and commercial insight to this new role,” says Pedel. “At a time when organisations are facing increasing complexity and costs, Matt will help maximise the value of Aon’s AI-enabled data and analytics capabilities to accelerate innovative solutions that support better decision making and deliver positive outcomes.”

Lawrence has extensive experience across health and benefits, including broking, client advice, proposition development and corporate commercial strategy. At WTW, Lawrence was head of broking and broking strategy across Europe and APAC. Previously, Lawrence spent more than two decades at Aon where he held senior leadership positions across global broking and health solutions.
