The provider says it will offer discounts where customers buy more than one type of cover from the new product range includes life, disability, accidental death and dismemberment, as well as private medical insurance.
The product launch follows the July 2014 merger of Allianz Worldwide Care Ltd with the international divisions of Allianz France. The merger has resulted in the creation of a new entity, Allianz Worldwide Care SA, which has a single license to underwrite both health and life insurance and is regulated by the French Regulator. The Dublin office is a branch of the new company, acting as the primary support hub for global operations.
Allianz Worldwide Care chief executive Ron Buchan says: “We can now offer corporate clients and their brokers the convenience of sourcing a range of insurance products from a single insurer. These products are all key elements of an employee benefits package, helping our clients to attract and retain staff. For corporate HR, there are cost benefits as well as efficiencies in terms of the number of relationships they need to manage throughout the year when it comes to incepting and renewing policies and paying premiums.
“Plus, we can offer clients a global solution, with one system for reporting and policy administration, regardless of the product combination they have chosen.”
Allianz Worldwide Care head of marketing and client management Susan Landers says: “We can offer life and disability cover tailored to each client’s needs, whether they are small, medium or large groups. As well as the convenience of having a number of products with one insurer, this will also be commercially attractive, as clients who choose more than one type of product will benefit from a premium discount.”
