Aon is appointing former Punter Southall head of DC investment solutions Neil Latham to its retirement & investment practice as a principal consultant in its DC team.

Latham’s appointment follows a string of recent hires including Tony Britton as head of DC delegated sales, Chris Inman as a principal investment consultant, Adam Hayes as a DC investment consultant and Steven Leigh’s as a senior DC consultant.

Latham has worked as a corporate adviser for over 25 years and joins Aon after 13 years with Punter Southall. In his new role Latham will focus on investment solutions for UK DC schemes across both trustee and contract-based arrangements.

Latham is a Chartered Financial Planner, an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute’s Personal Finance Society and has an honours degree in Physics from the University of Warwick.

Aon Hewitt partner and head of DC consulting Sophia Singleton says: “Neil Latham brings great and varied experience to Aon’s DC team. He joins us at a key time, with increased focus in the market on how DC schemes are delivering to members, and fast increasing demand for our own DC services and advice.

“At a time when any number of external factors may be causing uncertainty on investment matters, I am confident that Neil’s knowledge and skills will help our clients to maximise the potential of their schemes and, ultimately, benefit their members.”

Latham says: “In an increasingly complex and rapidly changing environment in the UK, trustee boards and companies face an even greater need for sensible advice and pragmatic solutions.  I am delighted to join Aon’s growing DC team and look forward to working with our clients to leverage the breadth of expertise and resources that Aon has to offer.”
