Aon has appointed six of its senior employees to be partners in the global business.

Among those appointed are Tony Britton, who currently leads the strategy for Aon’s UK DC product suits, which includes its master trust.

Britton joined Aon in 2016 from Scottish Widows and has nearly 35 years’ industry experience.

Other new partners include Trevor Brooks, who is a strategic partner to the US, UK and Eurozone businesses which sponsor UK DB schemes – and works with both SMEs and large multinationals. Brooks leads Aon’s UK Accounting Strategy Team, which looks to achieving better accounting outcomes for sponsors of DB pension schemes.

John Foster has also been appointed partner. He works with a portfolio of large trustee and corporate clients on all aspects of designing, implementing and running their DC plans. His clients encompass both consulting and delegated delivery models. Foster also leads the development of Aon’s DC client relationships, and is involved in Aon’s innovation across strategy, investment, governance and financial wellbeing.

The other three new partners are Alastair McIntosh, scheme actuary to three schemes. McIntosh leads he UK element of Aon’s Global Pension Risk Survey.

Doug Steevens is head of EMEA Portfolio Management within the delegated investment team; while Paul Whelan is co-head of global fixed income manager research at Aon. Whelan works closely with Aon’s global fiduciary business in shaping fixed income solutions, covering liability hedging and return seeking opportunities.

Aon’s head of retirement EMEA Michael Clare says: “Good news has been in short supply during 2020, so it’s a pleasure to announce our new partners.

“All six have already made a considerable contribution to the firm and their guidance and expertise in a wide range of areas has been well appreciated by our clients.”
