Aon has appointed former Aberdeen Standard investment specialist Mike Smaje as a partner in its global investment practice.
Smaje, who will be based in Aon’s Leeds and Manchester offices, has worked for 25 years in pensions and investment consultancy, and asset management.
At Aberdeen Standard, formerly Standard Life Investments, Smaje delivering advice to UK pension scheme trustees and is a liability driven investment (LDI) product specialist on risk management strategies.
Prior to this, he was director of investment services at First Actuarial, where he led the development and delivery of its investment consulting capabilities. He previously spent almost two decade in investment and actuarial consultancy roles at Willis Towers Watson.
Hee has a first class BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from the University of Manchester and has been a qualified actuary since 1999.
