It was a big night for double-gong winners Aon, Howden Employee Benefits & Wellbeing, Aviva and Nest last night in London at the Corporate Adviser Awards 2021.
Aon took the coveted Firm of the Year Award, as well as the award for Best Health & Wellbeing Solution. Howden triumphed in the Best Healthcare Adviser and Best Group Risk Adviser categories.
Aviva triumphed in both the Best Group Pension Provider and the Best ESG Asset Manager categories.
Nest’s investment approach won them two trophies, in the Ultimate Default Fund and Best Default ESG Strategy categories.
LCP took home the trophy in the Best Pension Adviser category, while Wingate Benefit Solutions was named Corporate Adviser Small Firm of the Year from a very strong field of small firms.
The awards ceremony, the first for two years, was hosted by comedian Rob Beckett, and took place at the Marriott Grosvenor Square.
Redington was named Best Defined Contribution Investment Adviser and Independent Trustee Services won the award for Best DC Independent Trustee.
Royal London topped the Best Provider Decumulation Proposition category while Legal & General Worksave Mastertrust was named Best Master Trust.
There was a first win for WPA, which won the Best Healthcare Provider category, while the Best Fintech Health & Wellbeing Innovator award went to Peppy and Best Financial Wellbeing Provider went to YuLife.
Canada Life won the Best Group Risk Provider category, while Best Cash Plan Provider went to Medicash.
The awards were determined by a two-stage process involving 45 judges from across the workplace benefits industry.
Corporate Adviser Provider Service Ratings 2021
The event also saw the presentation of the first Corporate Adviser Provider Service Ratings, a new benchmark for service quality for group pensions, healthcare, group risk and cash plan providers. Royal London, Canada Life, Vitality, Medicash and Simplyhealth were all named 5-star providers in the ratings, which were based on market research with over 100 advisers.
Corporate Adviser editor John Greenwood said: “Congratulations to all of the winners and highly commended organisations at this year’s Awards ceremony. The judging process is incredibly rigorous – in some categories we had as many as 20 judges debating at length the pros and cons of the propositions of entrants. That makes winning one of these awards a real hallmark of quality.”
