Aon launches new wellbeing app

Aon has launched a new digital wellbeing platform, aimed at helping clients improve the health of their workforce.

The Well One application has been launched with health technology firm dacadoo, which has devised a digital health score platform.

The app will use AI-driven digital coaching and education to encourage more positive behaviours about lifestyle, health and future finances.

Individuals can compare personal health achievements to those across the organisation anonymously, while businesses can benchmark against others in the industry.

Employees using this new app will be offered online one-to-one coaching, the ability to connect virtually with colleagues, and the opportunity to earn rewards and recognition as a means of increasing motivation and encouraging healthier behaviours.

Aon’s chief executive of health solutions (EMEA) Alistair Connell says: “The anonymous and aggregate data received from the Well One platform, coupled with Aon’s data and analytics capabilities, will allow a deeper understanding into what employers and their workers need to thrive – enabling sustainable healthy behaviour change and helping them further reduce risk, manage cost and increase performance.”

Aon says that its clients are increasingly recognising that health is not just physical but rather a combination of factors – including emotional, social and financial – and all can affect an individual’s wellbeing.

Well One uses smart, accessible data analytics distilled through the physical, emotional, social and financial wellbeing of individuals, teams and organisations into simple health scores. Studies have shown that healthy, happy and motivated employees deliver higher performance and remain more loyal towards their employers over time.

The new app will initiailly be rolled out to Aon’s clients across Europe and Asia.
