Aptia appoints Barnett Waddingham principal to run new communications proposition

Consultancy firm Aptia has appointed Steph Gold to be its new UK pensions communications lead.

Gold joins Aptia from Barnett Waddingham, where she was principal and head of the firms communications consultancy, DrumRoll. Prior to this, she held senior roles at Aon.

Across the roles Gold has build up extensive experience in pension and benefits communications, specialising in strategic member and employee engagement programmes across a wide range of organisations.

In her new position, she will develop Aptia’s pensions communications proposition, strengthening the firm’s ability to help clients improve member understanding, confidence and engagement.

She will also be responsible for building a specialist communications team to support this growing area of client demand.

Aptia’s UK president Malcolm Reynolds says: “As we continue to strengthen the support we offer to clients, [Gold’s] leadership will be instrumental in shaping a communications capability that delivers clear and effective experiences for scheme members.’

Steph Gold adds: ‘I’m delighted to have the opportunity to build a new communications proposition that helps clients enhance their members’ pension experience.

“Aptia is a client-focused, growing business, and to be part of that journey – establishing a team dedicated to communicating the complex clearly – is an exciting challenge.”
