Aviva is now offering its health and wellbeing app to all its group life customers.

This DigiCare+ Workplace app offers access to a range of services to help members detect, manage and prevent both physical and mental health problems.

The five key benefits include: a digital GP service, a second medical opinion service, a mental health consultation, an annual fingerpick health check —which incudes analysis of cholesterol status, liver health and diabetes risk — plus nutritional advice and guidance.

This app has been available to Aviva’s individual protection customers and those on a group critical illness group income protection plan since 2020. Aviva says it has been used 148,000 times since then, with 61 per cent of customers engaging as repeat users of the app.

Group life customers already have access to a number of wellbeing services, including a stress helpline, bereavement helpline, a line management toolkit, plus ‘get active’ discounts on a range of health products and gym membership.

Aviva sales director, group protection Jason Ellis says: “While our insurance cover is in place to support employees when the worst happens, our wellbeing services encourage employees to take care of their physical, mental, and financial health, while they are insured with us.

“The access to clinical professionals at the touch of a button means that employees can get the help they need, when they need it – which in today’s hybrid working environment is something we can now offer to even more employees.”
