Aviva Investors appoints head of UK institutional

Aviva Investors has appointed James Edwards as head of UK institutional as it continues to expand coverage for institutional clients.

Edwards, based in London, will report to Steven Gardner, head of Institutional, EMEA. He joins from Columbia Threadneedle, where he was director of institutional business and previously held roles at BlackRock, Barclays Global Investors and BNY Mellon.

The hire follows a series of appointments, including Julie Caron as head of Institutional, Americas, Dean Liotta as MD, Institutional, Americas, Heather Brown as head of EMEA institutional client relationship management and Duane Green as CEO, Americas.
