Aviva Investors has boosted its specialist private markets team with three expernal appointments, including a new head of private markets equity.
Callem Fraser takes on this new role, joining from Barings. Prior to working this he spent almost five years at Legal & General Investment Management, latterly covering real assets solutions.
Aviva Investors has also appointed Kevin Au as senior investment specialist with a focus on real estate investment. He joins from LGIM where he covered the UK real estate market, including the build-to-rent and broader UK residential sector.
Aviva Investors has also appointed Neon Shariful as an investment director, covering private debt. Shariful joins from HostPlus Superannuation fund and has considerable experience working in private markets within the Australian pensions sector.
The firm has also made a number of internal appointments as it continues to respond to increased client demand for a range of private markets investment solutions. .
Oliver Welch has been made investment director for private markets. He was previously part of Aviva Investors’ public markets investment specialists team. Yusuf Shaheen, previously an investment specialist within Aviva Investors’ public markets team, has moved within the business to become a dedicated private markets investment specialist where he will support Aviva Investors’ private debt capabilities.
