Barnett Waddingham has appointed David Barnett to lead its corporate sole trustee business.
In this role, he will lead the firm’s strategic approach to this growing market, with around one in four pension schemes now operating under a corporate sole trustee model. Barnett will develop and promote propositions that are designed to deliver value, improve efficiency of governance, and strengthen trustee expertise.
Barnett has extensive experience in this sector. Barnett Waddingham says this puts him in a good position to drive growth and innovation in this evolving area. His remit will include overseeing Barnett Waddingham’s specialist sole trustee team, working closely with trustee partners to enhance client outcomes, and engaging with the pensions community at key industry events.
He will also be responsible for shaping Barnett Waddingham’s CST proposition to meet emerging market opportunities. This includes navigating the changing regulatory and commercial landscape of trusteeship.
