Barnett Waddingham expands consulting teams

Barnett Waddingham has expanded its insurance & longevity consulting and investment consulting teams and introduced a family office advisory service to deliver bespoke solutions.

Matthew Gold has been appointed head of charity & endowment investment and will focus on investment consulting for charities, endowments, and foundations.

Meanwhile, Chris Handley and Chris Pritchard will co-head insurance investment, working with Craig Turnbull and Wan Heah from the insurance & longevity consulting team to enhance the firm’s strategic investment consulting for insurers.

Simon Clark was recently appointed as head of the new family office. The new advice service intends to assist families in establishing their goals and implementing cost-effective investing plans. Clark will expand these offerings by using his experience in asset management, project financing, and corporate finance.

The SIA team is led by Neil Davies, the head of Specialist Investment Advisory (SIA) Services, and includes Simon Clark, Matthew Gold, Chris Handley, and Chris Pritchard. This team brings experience in long-term strategy setting, risk management, manager selection, and performance monitoring.

Barnett Waddingham partner and head of specialist investment advisory services Neil Davies says: “We are delighted to announce these new key appointments which truly cement a first-class offering to our clients, as well as the creation of a new family office advisory service.

“Barnett Waddingham is already a trusted advisor to charities, endowments, foundations, and insurers, helping our clients develop tailored investment solutions. Our position as an independent consultant with no asset management products to sell makes us an ideal partner for clients who want unconflicted advice on their objectives, strategy and implementation.”
