Barnett Waddingham is appointing former Mercer principal Andy Parker to a national role in its workplace health and wealth team.
Parker joins as a national DC consultant after 10 years at Mercer as principal in the DC & financial wellness business, where he led advice to global businesses and trustees.
He will join a team of 50 DC specialists in BW. His appointment is expected to be followed by another senior hire in the next few weeks.
Parker says: “During a time of increasing governance burden for DC pension schemes, Barnett Waddingham has an opportunity to stand above others in the industry and continue to show real commitment and support to their clients.”
Barnett Waddingham partner and head of DC consultancy Mark Futcher says: “His appointment is a reflection of the demand Barnett Waddingham has for independent, trusted consultants from both trustees and corporates. Andy will be a great asset not just to our clients but to the team with his overarching knowledge and will support us in going beyond the expected.
“Andy is the first of two senior appointments that Barnett Waddingham will be making in the forthcoming weeks as we continue to consolidate our position as the UK’s leading independent DC consultancy.”
