Barnett Waddingham has appointed two business area leaders as it looks to build on a year of record growth.
Rod Goodyer has been appointed as the new business area leader for investment consulting, whileJane Ralph will be the firm’s business area leader for business development.
Goodyer has over 20 years’ actuarial and investment experience having joined Barnett Waddingham in 2002 as a graduate. He was made a partner in the firm in 2021 and has been the company’s interim head of investment consulting since then.
Goodyer currently leads a team of over 130 investment specialists working with more than 450 clients, managing combined assets in excess of £70bn. He played an important role in the Work and Pensions Select Committee inquiry into defined benefit pensions with liability driven investments, and Barnett Waddingham says his stewardship of the team at this time helped safeguard clients from the unprecedented challenges experienced in the gilt markets.
Ralph has been at Barnett Waddingham for more than six years. Initially recruited to lead the expansion of corporate clients in the Midlands, her role evolved to a UK-wide remit
Her new role as the head of business development will see her lead initiatives to drive business growth and shape the future services offered to current and future clients. with a focus on both innovation and value.
