Bluecrest Wellness has appointed Jason Morris to lead its intermediary strategy. This appointment comes as the wellbeing firms looks to further develop its corporate arm.

In this role Morris will work with key distribution partners and employee benefits specialists to deliver a health and wellbeing benefit with a focus on prevention, rather than cure.

Morris has worked in the health insurance industry for over 30 years, including nine years at Bupa — most recently as head of intermediary sales.

Bluecrest Wellness has a range of health MOTs with different packages that can help identify risks ranging from cholesterol to diabetes, musculoskeletal issues to thyroid function, early cancer risk to mental health.

It offers health assessments can be delivered to businesses on site, or through its network of 2,000 community clinics across the UK. Clients receive aggregated data about their workforce which can be used to inform targeted health and wellbeing strategies.

Bluecrest Wellness is established in the individual space, and has more recently grown its B2B business, together delivering more than 100,000 health assessments every year. It is now increasing its corporate focus in response to growing demand from employees and employers alike.

Bluecrest Wellness Corporate Director, Jon Darby said: “Following the pandemic, people are more likely to be concerned about their heath, may find it difficult to access NHS support – and are less likely to be able to afford private healthcare for themselves. As a result, demand for health support in the workplace has increased significantly.

“[Morris] will be working with benefits specialists to provide them with an extra tool in their product suites – and to deliver their clients practical, affordable and convenient health checks that work alongside existing PMI and cash plans. We’re delighted to have him on board to help get our health assessments to even more people through their places of work.”
