Mercer scooped the gong in the pension adviser category, while Advo Group was named healthcare adviser of the year. Watson Wyatt won the group risk adviser category at the event hosted by Strictly Come Dancing star John Sergeant.
The event, which took place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, acknowledged excellence in the provision of workplace financial advice, products and consultancy services across the fields of healthcare, group risk, income protection, pensions and investments.
New categories of award this year included Small Firm of the Year, which was won by Tisco Financial Planning, a firm with two registered individuals, which recently implemented a 3,000 employee pension scheme. Also new this year were the Best Training and Professional Development category, which was won by Origen Financial Services, and the Best Integrated Health and Wellbeing Solution, won by Portus Consulting. The judging panel for the Best Integrated Health and Wellbeing Solution category numbered in its ranks the Government’s occupational health tzar, Dame Carol Black, National Director for Health and Work.
