Bolmstrand appointed head of Nordea AM

Nils Bolmstrand has been named the new Head of Nordea Asset Management, the largest asset manager in the Nordic countries.

Bolmstrand currently heads up Nordea Life & Pensions, and has previously held managerial positions within Nordea Asset Management and the asset management division of Skandia and Old Mutual. He starts in his new position on 1 January 2017.

Nordea Asset Management had €215m AUM at the end of Q3 2016, NS is part of the Nordea Group, the largest financial services group in Northern Europe, with AUM of €317BN. It has seen the greatest net inflows of any asset manager in Europe over the last year.

Nordea Wealth Management head Snorre Storset says: “Nils is the right person to maintain the very strong momentum and development of Nordea Asset Management. He has the competencies and experience within the asset management business, and he has strong leadership and personal skills.
