Broadstone has appointed Andrew Walton as actuarial director.
Walton has nearly 20 years of experience in the pensions industry and brings a wealth of expertise as a scheme actuary. He has worked alongside trustees and corporate sponsors on all aspects of scheme management, including journey planning, member option exercises, valuation strategy, and GMP equalisation. He has also led full scheme buyouts and wind-ups through to successful completion.
Walton will be based across both Broadstone’s newly opened central Birmingham office and the Redditch office. According to Broadstone, he will help further develop its consulting offering and services, including in relation to GMP equalisation.
Broadstone actuarial director Andrew Walton says: “Broadstone’s continued growth and positive client feedback is a testament to the value of our proposition. I’m confident that my experience, added to Broadstone’s existing offering in the sector, will add significant value as we work towards achieving the best outcomes for members and stakeholders.”
Broadstone head of midlands advisory Jeremy Clack says: “Andrew brings huge sector expertise and we’re delighted to secure his talents at an important time in Broadstone’s growth trajectory. We are seeing strong growth in the Midlands region, expanding to a bigger office in the centre of Birmingham and strengthening our team here with experienced industry talent.”
