Broadstone has appointed Stuart Hardy to be its client consulting director.

Hardy joins from Evelyn Partners, where he held the role of associate director. He has previously worked in the corporate benefits teams for  Hargreaves Lansdown, Mercer and PwC.

In his new role Hardy will manage client relationships with some of Broadstone’s largest clients, providing advice on scheme design, pension governance, provider market reviews, compliance, investment strategy and employee engagement.

Broadstone says this appointment will support the firm’s growth ambitions, with Hardy contributing to the development of the wider business, and its propositions

The appointment comes at a time when the DC market undergoes rapid structural change driven by consolidation, value-for-money assessments, increasing governance expectations and a sharper focus on member outcomes.

Broadstone head of DC workplace savings Damon Hopkins says: “I am delighted that Hardy has joined Broadstone to further strengthen our expanding expertise in DC.

“As regulatory reform builds momentum and consolidation accelerates, employers need clear, effective guidance to ensure their workplace pensions remain competitive, compliant and aligned with their broader reward strategies.”

Stuart Hardy, client consulting director at Broadstone adds: “The DC sector is going through significant change as reforms reshape how providers, employers and savers interact with workplace pensions.

“In this environment, access to genuinely independent, technically robust advice is critical to help employers design schemes that are engaging, cost-effective and capable of delivering positive retirement outcomes.”
