Broadstone has appointed John Bacon to the role of principal of projects and endgame administration.
Bacon joins Broadstone from Barnett Waddingham where he spent 10 years working with the PPF, Clara and PIC. Previously, he worked at Mercer in a number of roles, and has also held the position as operations and administration manager at Atkin &Co. In total Bacon has more than 20 years experience working in pensions administration.
In his new role he will help Broadstone enhance its pension scheme administration capabilities, with a focus on the preparation and execution of transactions and post-transaction services across the full endgame spectrum.
He will work alongside Paul Noone, the newly-appointed head of operations, and in this role will liaise closely with trustees, sponsors and insurers to ensure they are fully prepared for end-game transactions, with a focus on member experience, data quality and delivery.
Noone says: “This appointment reflects our continued investment in pensions administration, strengthening our endgame capabilities at a time when we are experiencing significant growth.
“As schemes focus on long-term security for members, they need excellent levels of expertise with exacting standards of project delivery. [Bacon] brings an extensive track record of leading challenging administration projects, and we are delighted to welcome him to the team as we continue to provide our clients with a consistently high-quality service.”
