Buck Consultants is in the market to acquire a corporate intermediary business to give it the scale to compete with the biggest consultancies in the UK market.
The move is part of the strategy of parent ACS, which in turn is owned by Xerox, to double its European business activities. The organisation has also renamed its corporate financial planning practice as ’DC and Wealth’, and will look to expand opportunities in the defined contribution space. Buck is developing its own corporate wrap proposition, using technology sourced externally, and has just signed up its first client.
Managing director UK Fraser Smart says: We are ambitious to grow our business and there is money there for the right deal. We are considering whether organic growth or acquisition is the best route. We are looking to reshape the business so we can become an obvious challenger to the big three consultancies in the UK.”
